- To clean, use a dry cloth, paint brush or air-compressor to rid of dust. For spills such as juice or hot chocolate, wipe with a dry cotton cloth. The rattan is protected from a top- coat so it won't absorb the liquid. For PU rattan seat tops: Wipe spills with a soft damp cloth or with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid use of cleaners and abrasives. Rattan is naturally heat resistant to sunlight and humidity but is recommended for indoor use.
